3rd anniversary of Adilabad satellite centre
Seshanna Chennawar Eye Centre, the fourth satellite centre of LVPEI, celebrated its third anniversary on June 9, 2008. Since its inception, the centre has screened over 26,000 outpatients and performed more than 3600 surgeries, 70% of them free of cost.
A review of the centre's performance showed that the targets set for the year 2007 - 2008 had been achieved. The full credit for this goes to the hospital staff, doctors and supporters of the centre. The centre has scope for greater revenue generation by seeing more paying patients. Some of the notable people who attended the celebrations were Mr Kondaiah Chowdary, farmer union leader, Mr Prakash, family member of a donor, Mr Krishna Reddy, MPDO, and other beneficiaries. The program concluded with presentation of Best Employee awards and gifts to employees for participation in sports events.
