Deepak K Bagga holds a postgraduate diploma in operations management from the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), and a diploma in refraction & optometry from Gandhi Eye Hospital, Aligarh. He did a fellowship in optometry at LVPEI. He worked for 7 years at Dr Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital, Delhi, where his responsibilities included low vision care, community outreach projects, administration and academics. He was one of the team leaders for a multi-centric national survey ‘Rapid Assessment of Avoidable Blindness (RAAB)’ conducted by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, and project manager for the ORBIS supported project ‘Controlling Refractive Errors in Delhi’. He has participated in various national and international meetings. His areas of interest are low vision rehabilitation and community eye health.
