Tapas Ranjan Padhi completed his basic medical education from Berhampur University, Orissa, in 2000. He completed his postgraduate training in ophthalmology at JIPMER, Pondicherry, in 2004, and was awarded a gold medal for best outgoing student in MS. He obtained his DNB degree in Ophthalmology in 2004 and worked as research fellow in retina at LVPEI, Hyderabad, briefly before doing a two-year vitreoretinal fellowship from Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai. His area of special interest is pediatric retina. He is co-investigator in several ongoing clinical trials at LVPEI, Bhubaneswar.
