The Institute has a dedicated Centre for Sight Enhancement and Visual Rehabilitation for patients who cannot be treated through medication or surgery. Patients are referred by the clinicians to these centres, when their eye condition can no longer be helped through treatment or management.  The Centre for Sight Enhancement, situated on the ground floor of the institute, re-evaluates the vision of such patients using a different set of parameters, specified for patients with incurable vision impairment. The Vision Rehabilitation Centre has a dedicated Information Technology Resource Centre where the visually impaired can learn how to use special software, such as Kurzweil, MAGic, and JAWS.
