The eye examination at the Institute begins with refraction by a trained optometrist who will also check the eye pressure and perform a slit lamp examination of the cornea, apart from taking the complete history of the patient’s eye problem.

Thereafter a patient is examined by a consultant ophthalmologist who advises the patient about the treatment options. The consultant may also perform additional diagnostic procedures such as corneal scraping.
