LVPEI's Sudhakar & Sreekanth Ravi Eye Centre in Markapuram, Andhra Pradesh, celebrated its 16th anniversary. The centre is dedicated to providing high-quality and affordable eye care services to remote, rural communities, especially vulnerable sections such as the tribals, elderly and children. Over the past 16 years, the centre has examined over 200,000 outpatients and performed 18,000 surgeries, nearly 50% being non-paying patients. Additionally, more than 190,000 individuals received free eye check-ups through its network of 10 vision centres.
