Padmashri Awardee Dr G Natchiar, a renowned ophthalmologist and Director Emeritus-Human Resource Department and Vice Chairman Emeritus of Aravind Eye Hospital & Postgraduate Institute of Ophthalmology, delivered the 25th Dr Rustam D Ranji Rotary Award Lecture on September 20, 2024. In her captivating lecture titled 'The Optical Odyssey: Gains and Losses in 50 Years of Ophthalmic Practice,' Dr Natchiar highlighted the key advancements and challenges in eye care over the past five decades.
The Rotary Club of Hyderabad, District 3150, established this prestigious annual endowment lecture in memory of Dr Rustam D Ranji, a distinguished ophthalmologist and honorary physician to the former Nizam. He was also a charter member and former president of the Rotary Club of Hyderabad.
