The LVPEI - Institute for Vision Rehabilitation (IVR) received the Governor's Award for Excellence in Divyangjan Welfare on January 26, 2025, at Raj Bhavan.
The award was received by Dr Beula Christy, Head - IVR from Shri Jishnu Dev Varma, the Honourable Governor, in the presence of Mr. Revanth Reddy, the Honourable Chief Minister, Telangana High Court acting Chief Justice Sujoy Pal, and other dignitaries.
The award is an acknowledgment of the Institute's dedicated efforts over the past five years (since 2019) to enhance accessibility, provide essential services, advocate for rights, and create opportunities for Divyangjan to lead dignified and independent lives.
