L V Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) has partnered with Fernandez Hospital to establish a dedicated children's eye clinic at their Necklace Road facility in Hyderabad, Telangana. Spearheaded by the paediatric ophthalmology team from LVPEI, the clinic will offer eye care services to children from newborns up to 16 years of age. The initiative aims to ensure routine eye checks for children, including those coming for vaccinations and regular health check-ups. The clinic will conduct screenings, diagnostics, and treatment for paediatric eye health issues, such as retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), refractive errors, and eye allergies. Embracing modern technology, the clinic will utilize tele-ophthalmology services and periodic visits by paediatric ophthalmologists from LVPEI.
