The second Nawab Arastu Yar Jung Bahadur Memorial Lecture was delivered by Prof. Jost B. Jonas, MD, Chairman Emeritus of the Department of Ophthalmology at the Medical Faculty Mannheim, Heidelberg University, Germany. Held at LVPEI's Kallam Anji Reddy Campus in Hyderabad, the lecture titled 'Myopia & Age-Related Macular Degeneration – Do They Have Any Similarities?' offered valuable insights into this intriguing topic.
The lecture is named after the late Dr Abdul Husain (conferred with the title of Nawab Arastu Yar Jung Bahadur) and was instituted by generous support from his grandson, Dr Sajid Ali, living in the United States.
