Dr Gowtham Lakshminarayanan

Dr. Gowtham Lakshminarayanan received his Ph.D. in Ocular Pharmacology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India, in 2022. His doctoral work focused on understanding the pathophysiology of glaucoma and identifying novel biomarkers to establish personalized treatment strategies using high-throughput mass spectrometer-based multi-omics and pharmacogenomic approaches. He also made significant contributions to establishing the pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic profiles of antibiotics, newer anti-diabetic molecules and was actively involved in research combating emerging antimicrobial resistance.

During his post-doctoral research at LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, he was deeply committed to discovering novel drug candidates and developing innovative ophthalmic formulations for bacterial, fungal, and parasitic ocular infections. Dr. Gowtham has been honored with numerous awards, both nationally and internationally, and his research findings have been published in renowned journals. He is also known for dedicating his time to diverse hobbies, such as yoga, writing books, running marathons, and participating in cultural and sports activities.
