Corneal opacities are the second leading cause of blindness in India. The Cornea Institute at LVPEI takes a comprehensive approach to tackling corneal conditions and has serviced nearly 450,000 patients while performing 90,000 surgeries since its inception. The delivery of these services in 2021 were made possible with support from The Shantilal Shanghvi Foundation.
