LVPEI is part of a global collaborative network which provides a variety of services in the areas of blindness prevention and low vision, and advocacy. As part of this, the Institute is offering a one year fellowship program and short-term courses in rehabilitation. These courses help impart the skills required in setting-up independent vision rehabilitation Centres in vision clinics / integrating private practices/ eye care organizations.- One-year fellowship in Vision Rehabilitation

Workshops
SUMMER/WINTER CAMPS
The vision rehabilitation program at L V Prasad Eye Institute assists persons with permanent visual impairment through a variety of training programs for life skills as well in the use of assistive devices. The program aims to aid those with permanent impairment lead independent lives. It is structured based on the individual’s nature of impairment and their available support facilities.PARENTS MEET
A special meet of the parents of visually challenged children is conducted annually to address the specific needs in the upbringing of children with disabilities. Professional guidance is provided through group discussions, lectures and practical demonstrations.PARENTS’ WORKSHOPS
These workshops are organized once a month for a smaller group of parents (6 - 10 persons) to focus on a specific disability.INTERRACTIVE WORKSHOPS
A monthly event is organized for young adults with visual impairment. The workshops create an opportunity for participants to discuss current trends and issues in disability, barriers in accessing all kinds of employment, accessing assistive technology, proclaiming the rights of the disabled, advocacy and formation of self-help groups.Each session accommodates an average of 30 challenged persons.
