D Lakshmi

D Lakshmi is a seasoned optometrist with a strong background in low vision and rehabilitation, having graduated from Vinayaka Mission University, Salem, with a bachelor's degree in Optometry and Vision Science. She later completed a fellowship in Low Vision and Rehabilitation at LVPEI's Institute for Vision Rehabilitation in Hyderabad.
With extensive experience providing low-vision services to patients of all age groups with various ophthalmic conditions, Lakshmi has been an integral part of LVPEI since 2006. Currently, she is in charge of low vision services, the special needs vision clinic, and the vision technician course at LVPEI, Visakhapatnam. As a teaching and clinical faculty member, she guides optometry interns and focuses on clinical interests such as low vision, managing amblyopia, and delivering eye care to children with special needs.
