Anahita Kate has completed her primary medical education and post-graduation in Ophthalmology at Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Pondicherry, India. Afterwards, she pursued a long-term fellowship in Cornea and Anterior Segment from L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad and later joined its Vijayawada campus as a consultant in Cornea, Cataract and Refractive Services. Her clinical interests include management of corneal infections, ectatic disorders, dystrophies and degenerations.
Dr Anahita Kate is passionate about teaching and is keenly involved in the research work of corneal infections and inflammation. She has presented on several national and international forums and has various publications to her credit. An active member of the Cornea Society of India, the All India Ophthalmological Society and The Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, UK (MRCS Ed), Anahita is also a Fellow of the International Council of Ophthalmology (FICO).
