Dr Manikanta Damagatla completed his basic medical degree from Kurnool Medical College and his Masters in Ophthalmology from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh. He has done his Senior Residency from AIIMS, Mangalagiri, Guntur before associating with LVPEI, Hyderabad for a long-term fellowship. He pursued his interest in Glaucoma.
Dr Manikanta is a lifetime member of the All-India Ophthalmology Society (AIOS) and Glaucoma Society of India(GSI). His main areas of interest are angle closure glaucoma and secondary glaucoma.
He has special interest in innovating modifications in glaucoma. His work has been presented in papers and posters in national conferences and published in international journals.
