Himabindu completed her basic medical education from Konaseema Institute of Medical Sciences, Amalapuram followed by a post-graduation in Ophthalmology from Aravind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore. She then pursued a Fellowship in Comprehensive Ophthalmology from LVPEI, Bhubaneshwar and received subspecialty training in Cornea and Anterior Segment Services. Dr Alluri Himabindu's clinical interests include infectious keratitis, corneal transplantation including lamellar procedures, and cataract surgery.
