Dr Sohini Mandal

Sohini Mandal has completed her ophthalmology residency training from the prestigious Dr Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. Subsequently, she did her senior residency for 3 years in Cornea, Cataract and Refractive surgery from the same institute under the guidance of Padmashree Professor Jeewan S Titiyal. During the tenure she was awarded the degree of FAICO in refractive surgery. She did her MBBS from the prestigious Calcutta Medical College. Her main areas of interest are Laser vision corrective surgeries such as LASIK, PRK, ICL, keratoconus, allergic eye diseases, collagen crosslinking, contact lens, complicated cataract surgeries and various cornea transplant procedures. Keenly interested in research, Dr Mandal has to her credit, over 30 publications in various national and international peer-reviewed journals and 15 chapters in renowned post graduate books. In her leisure time, Dr Mandal loves watercolour painting, mandala art, yoga, Zumba, dancing and listening to music.
