Soumya Panda

Soumya Panda did her bachelor degree in optometry from L V Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI), Bhubaneswar. This was followed by 3-month-fellowship in low vision rehabilitation at LVPEI, Hyderabad. Later she joined the LVPEI- Institute for Vision Rehabilitation as a Consultant Optometrist. Today, she has a rich and extensive experience of providing low-vision services to more than 5,000 patients across all age groups with different Ophthalmic conditions such as; AMD, Albinism, Aniridia, Cone Dystrophy, Diabetic Retinopathy, Glaucoma, Heredomacular degenerations, Leber's Congenital Amaurosis, Microphthalmos, Optic Atrophy, Retinitis Pigmentosa, Retinopathy of prematurity, Rod Cone Dystrophy, Rod monochromatism, Stargardt's disease, Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, and many more. She has presented at several national and international conferences and has co-authored research papers in international peer-reviewed journals.
