Umasankar Barik began his optometry journey with a Vision Technician & a Diploma in Ophthalmic Technician from LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad and later obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Optometry from Himalayan University, Itanagar, and Arunachal Pradesh, India. With 8 years of clinical experience at the Shantilal Shanghvi Cornea Institute, LVPEI, MTC Campus, Bhubaneswar, he furthered his skills in contact lenses with a short-term clinical observation at Contact lens clinic, LVPEI, Hyderabad.
Now a Consultant Optometrist at Contact Lens Clinic in Bhubaneswar. His core areas of interest are contact lens- especially in Keratoconus & It's management through contact lenses, Dry Eyes & It's management through contact lenses. He actively attends and presents at many conferences and seminars in his field of interest.
